PUERTO GALERA: A Place to Relax and Enjoy

Recently, I have been enjoying exploring around my beautiful country.
Philippines is composed of 7, 107 islands.
If I will try to visit each island, uhm, okay, I don't have any idea if I can even do that so never mind. haha!

Have you ever heard about Puerto Galera?

Puerto Galera is in the north westernmost municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. It is located at the southwestern end of the Isla Verde Passage, about 130 kilometers (81 miles) south of Manila.

I visited this place with my friends. Most of them came from Dagupan City, Pangasinan. It took them 5 hours from Dagupan City to Metro Manila. Me, Ate Cindy, and Mike are already residing here in Metro Manila.

We rode a JAM bus liner from Buendia (located near the LRT Buendia station). It was around 3 in the morning that time when we arrived in the bus terminal. It was an air conditioned bus. We paid a one-way bus ticket which costs Php162.00 only.
It was a one-hour trip from Manila to Batangas Port.

From the Port, we bought a round trip boat tickets from Batangas Port to White Beach, Puerto Galera which costs Php500.00.

***It is cheaper to buy round trip tickets because a one-way ticket will costs you around 270-280 pesos.

***I advise you to bring some water. A liter of bottled water costs 50 pesos or even higher in Puerto Galera. You can also bring some sachets of instant coffee or hot chocolate drinks. A cup of coffee there costs 30 to 40 pesos while a cup of hot chocolate (tastes like Milo, haha) is about 40 pesos.

While waiting for our boat

Time to ride!

So many passengers!

It was 9 in the morning and everybody was starving. We learned our lesson when we decided to enter a fine dining restaurant look a like (LOL) even though we're so hungry. I forgot the name of the restaurant but we regret eating there. First, staffs were not so attentive. Second, it took us a long time to wait for our orders. Finally, there food was tasteless!

After eating, we went to our hotel...

We're almost there!

We're here!

Come on! Let's go around our hotel!

Before our trip, I usually prepare my travel must haves 2 days in advance. These are just some of the things (not to mention undergarments and clothes of course) I don't want to forget whenever I go on a trip:
1. Shawl
2. Eye glasses
3. Sun block facial cream
4. Sun block lotion
5. toiletries and girls' stuff
6. Slippers

We should not waste out time! We decided to visit TALIPANAN FALLS. We did trekking slash mountain climbing slah walling (haha)

with our two men: M&M-->MARK and MIKE

We were just having fun!

So far, this is the best pizza that I have ever eaten. This is Luca's Stromboli (Double Pizza Fold) made of ham, salami, tomato, mushroom, mozzarella, onion, and olives!

I enjoyed this trip so much!
We saw a lot of Europeans. I saw few Filipino tourists there. Restaurant and resort owners seem like foreigners. haha
