Where to Stay and What to Do in El Nido?

Are you planning to visit El Nido, Palawan?
Some people thought that it is expensive to visit this wonderful place.
Yeah, it is expensive if you will stay in resorts or high end hotels but if you are on a budget, don't you worry.
There are so many cheap inns and pension houses around El Nido and I highly recommend Relucio Traveller's Pension House. Why? It has very affordable room rates and the owners, Ate Marilyn and her husband, are really nice.

According to the owners, this was a residence house before but they converted it into a pension house.

They are also offering island hopping tours.

This room is good for 2 persons.

Beside the room is a terrace.
Here, you can have a complimentary coffee and drinking water.

From the terrace, you can see this MAGNIFICENT view. Yes, this pension house is near the beach...or should I say it is a beach-front guest house.

Electricity in El Nido only runs from 2 o'clock in the afternoon until 6 o'clock in the morning. Oh well, you can do a lot of outdoor activities here. Even if there is no electricity from 6AM to 2PM in the afternoon, you can do island hopping. They have 4 island hopping choices to offer you:

Tour A (1,200 pesos/person)
Places to be visited: Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Simizu Island, Secret Lagoon and 7 Commandos Beach

Tour B (1,300 pesos/person)
Places to be visited: Entalula Island, Pinagbuyutan Island, Pangulasian Island, Snake Island and Cathedral Cave

Tour C (1,400 pesos/person)
Places to be visited: Hidden Beach, Helicopter Island, Secret Beach, Matinloc Shrine and Star Beach

Tour D (1,200 pesos/person)
Places to be visited: Bukal Island, Ipil Beach, Nat-Nat Beach, Cadlao Lagoon and Paradise Beach

For every island hopping tour, the guide and his/her crew serve a very delicious meals for lunch. Usually, they prepare food like Salad, Grilled fish, grilled squid, Crabs, grilled pork, and fruits. Aside from this generous amount of food, each tour package also includes snorkeling gear, life vest, and guides to assist the guest. Each tour  especially those shared ones starts from 9 in the morning and ends at 4 in the afternoon.  I did Tours A and C because according to some other blogs that I have read, the islands to be visited in these tours are really admirable. But of course, if you have enough money and long days to stay in El Nido, try these 4 tours. :D

If you are not into island hopping, you can try other activities like Scuba diving or inland tours in which you can see the sensational Nacpan and Calitang Beaches. One thing that I also missed due to lack of time is the adventure in climbing/hiking the cliff to overlook the tremendous view of El Nido. I will surely do inland tours and cliff climbing/hiking when I come back here.

I hope you'll enjoy your trip and adventure in El Nido! :)
